We can set-up your WiFi network so that any computer in your home or office can access the Internet, email accounts and swap files or share printers.
Most newer laptops and PCs have built-in WiFi capabilities; if your computer doesn't, we can supply hardware that is suitable for your needs.
We will ensure your WiFi network is secured with the latest "protocols", uses an obscure password and has ‘MAC address filtering’ in place. This means that even if someone were to ‘hack’ in to the wireless network by cracking the network password, the router would not give them access to the Internet or network files due to their PC or laptop not being be registered with the system by their MAC address. This address is specific to each individual network equipment such as routers, USB WiFi adapters (often built-in to new laptops), etc.
You may need to upgrade some of your equipment to ensure that all devices on the network are using the latest security protocols. Without this measure, all other measures are a waste of time.
If you would like to use your laptop when you are out-and-about, we can recommend and install any of the currently available mobile broadband systems from O2, Orange, Vodaphone or Virgin Media.
