If you would like to donate, the easiest way is by using your mobile phone. Simply send a text message to 70070 including our code – SALB01 – and an amount. E.g. SALB01 £3
You can donate £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10. After you’ve sent the text, you’ll receive a confirmation text back containing details on how to add Gift Aid, meaning Scoot-A-Long could benefit from an extra 25%.
This service is free for Scoot-A-Long, and anyone on any mobile network can use it to donate to us. Your donation will be deducted from your mobile phone credit, or added to your monthly phone bill. You won’t be charged for the text message either.

Scoot-A-Long wish to express their thanks to Steve and his team
at
Cornwall Council who have given us a load of body boards
that were
left behind by holiday makers this summer.
These boards will be used
as insolation for our new office
and it is also recycling products that do not decompose
easily, so we are helping to get rid of them and the
boards are helping to keep us warm!
Thank you Cornwall Council.
Please note we are also on twitter now @Scootalong1
and
will be 'twittering' at least twice a week, so please follow us.

It is with pleasure we welcome David Proud onto the Scoot-A-Long team
as our latest Patron. David is currently playing Adam Best in ‘Eastenders'
and
we met at the Motability Roadshow where he agreed to join us.
He is a very genuine person and we managed to get him onto the
Fieldmaster Assault course and he seemed to enjoy it. We are hoping
we will be welcoming him to Plymouth on the 4th June 2011
when we do our 'Disability Activity Day' on Plymouth Hoe.
So David,
welcome to the Team and we hope our mutual friendship is long lasting.
"As a disabled person it's easy to think that there are parts of Britain that you simply can't go to. Even I have limits on how far I can travel on rough terrain. "Scoot-a-long" is such a wonderful idea and they help make the inaccessible, accessible."

![]() |
From left to right: Peter Baldacchino, Scoot-a-long Secretary, Amanda Billiecliffe,
John Duckworth, Chairperson of Scoot-a-long, Mike Billiecliffe co owner of HMTE and sitting on the scooter is none other than Graham Billiecliffe the other co owner.
The scooter will have a plaque on it stating that it had been paid for by a grant from the Devon Community Foundation and for this we are eternally grateful but we must not sit on our laurels as we still need to get more scooters.
