REPAIRS
Laptops:
We service all makes/models of laptops, including software, memory (RAM), hard drive issues and peripherals (e.g. WiFi and mobile broadband dongles) - this excludes motherboards and screens.
It will reduce our time on-site and your costs if you can provide the make and model of your laptop when you make an appointment. Please use the links below to determine this information if you're not sure. Most laptops also have serial numbers on a label underneath, as well as the operating system (e.g. Microsoft Windows) licence key. This will help you when visiting the manufacturer website:

On-site:
We solve most issues at your home or business and always have the correct tools and diagnostic software to solve most common issues. We visit you at your home or business and take the trouble out of resolving your IT problems without you having to take it to a shop which could be miles away.
Most repairs are completed within an hour annd more complex issues within two hours. We will always advise you how long a job will take and give you an approximate cost on request.
Off-site:
Occasionally a problem will require our extensive workshop facilities or would be time consuming and expensive to complete on-site. Our workshop is used when our technicians are unavailable to visit on-site or when your laptop or PC requires extensive diagnostics or complex repairs.
UPGRADES
All laptops and PCs slow down as they age and are used more often. This is due either to lack of maintenance (when did you last "defrag" your hard drive?) or software upgrades and updates - such as Internet Explorer - putting more demands on each computer. Back in 1997 it was possible to run a business and browse the Internet on a PC which had just 512mb of RAM and a small 20gb hard drive; today you need 4gb (that's 4000mb) of RAM and at least a 160gb hard drive just to run some versions of Windows 7!
It may be necessary to make simple upgrades to key parts of your PC (this is not always possible for laptops) to improve your experience. Items such as RAM, video cards and hard drives can often be upgraded without replacing the entire computer.
We always recommend a computer health check and tune-up on a regular basis (evey few months is best, depending on how much you use the PC or laptop). This keeps the computer and software running efficiently.
A simple hardware upgrade of the RAM and video card can make a great difference and will extend the life of your computer.
Although laptops are less easy to upgrade in this way, there are still a number of things that can be done to improve their performance.
